Semana Santa!

So this week was semana santa (holy week) and it was strange man. alot more drinking and loud music than usual, lots of people with inflatable pools in the middle of the street, and alot of people not home. man. Thursday was absolutely insane, every one was out in the street, drinking, dancing, and just making as much as much noise as possible. i really haven't seen so many drunk people. and then Friday was "good Friday" and that's the day where everyone just sits at home all chill and rests from Thursday. and then Saturday we had another baptism. His name is Alexander, and he was actually an investigator of the other missionaries that were in our house before they got taken out, but we took over when they left. he is 8 and a reference. We had to do the baptism at 3 in the afternoon because that's the only time that all his family could come and...aye. not one member came. in fact, we had to call some other missionaries to come down the the baptism just so we had could have another witness. but, hey, it was still good! and then Sunday he didn't come to  church...his aunt didn't pick him up and he cant get there alone, hes only 8,. so we have to confirm him next week. lame.

hi hi!

Hello world! well this week sure has been interesting. we have been trying to take over the area of the other missionaries that left here while at the same time working in our area that we have been working in. yay adventures! we have mostly succeeded, but some of their investigators we cant find and others are never home. that area is like a 2 hour walk from where we are working....aye! so ya. that's so much fun let me tell you. this area was small for 2 companionship's, but now this is a ginormous area for only 1! and because we are the only ones here we have been getting references like mad and we are actually struggling to keep up with all of them. its amazing. this transfer has so much potential. at the moment we have at least one strong fecha for every single Saturday of the transfer. we had one on Saturday(more on that later), we WILL have one this Saturday, the next a few people, but one of them is for sure (she is the sister of one of my other baptisms here and already knows everything), and more and more! so this is gonna be a good transfer but wow its gonna be exhausting, but asi es the misson!
So, Saturday we had another baptism. her name is Mari, and she is amazing. she was a reference from a girl in the ward, and the girl who referred her is a super flojo member. but, mari is not, she is going to be amazing, she even showed quite a bit of interest in serving a mission! she is 16 now and now we are going to start teaching one of her friends who she brought to her baptism (and she already told us she wants to be baptized!) and also her little sister and brother. at this point her parents have no interest, but are supportive. baby steps! and then this coming Saturday we are going to baptize an 8 year old kid, he is the nephew of a "member" (she isn't a member because her husband is lame and will not marry her, and she cant move out cuz she cant afford to support her family alone. but she is working on getting the money to move out). His name is Alexander. so ya, stoked!

our baptizm on saturday, her name is Mari, 16 years old. she is amazing, super strong, and told us she has thought about serving a mission!

HIHI

yes, i am cool.
Hi! so big news, we finally had another baptism! his name is esterling, he is 11. had been going to church for like 5 months and i thought he was already a member but alas, he was not! so ya, that's cool! and then transfers are Tuesday, and crazy stuff is happening. I'm staying with my current comp, but the other companionship is leaving, and our area is becoming a 2 man area. this area is WAY too big for only 2 missionaries! and so where we are working and they are working is about a 2 hour walk apart. super. so we are gonna have to juggle that for a few weeks....but, we should have a goodly number of baptisms next transfer then! I'm gonna have to work my tail off though, man alive its going to be a crazy transfer. in other news, this transfer we will have the last interview with pres almonte! he only has 2 transfers left and then after we get the new president! crazy. dunno if I'm stoked or sad. i guess we will find out though eh? so ya. that's my news for the week. oh, and i want cabo pictures! thanks much.

my blister got a bit bigger.... (no worries, its kinda gone now...)

why yes, it is a dead cat.

carlos. prolly the funniest kid. ever

all my money came out in 100 bills....7600 pesos in 100 bills!!

Life

Hi fam! how is life.  good i hope. so biggest news this week, is YAY, i understood conference in Spanish! and it was in air conditioning! love it. so in the 2nd talk Saturday, the lady, the translator started to cry during translation, it was super crazy. the spirit was super strong for sure. but i really enjoyed it for sure, the talks were way good. haha and we had one investigator on Sunday that was so funny, Minerva, and she kept asking my why there were no black people like her, and every time it showed one of the token black people in the choir she would get all excited and point them out to me. haha oh man.

In other news, huge change in the mission. we used to have a rule that a person had to have gone to church 2 times in a row to be baptized, now, it ust got changed to 4 times. consecutive. it is sooo lame. we have to change every fecha we have now. lame.

In other news again, i hit 10 months in the mish Saturday!! finally in the double digits! just double it and then i only have 4 months left...hahaha. wow once again i am lame and don't have much to say. oh, only like 35 days or so till mothers day! so get ready to talk to me again! yay!!!
